Structure
The Maceió Maritime Terminal (TAMAC) is distinguished by its strategic location and multimodal infrastructure, supporting maritime, road, and pipeline operations. Currently, it features 10 tanks: 5 with floating roofs dedicated to petroleum, offering a total storage capacity of 25,000 m³, and an additional 5 tanks for fuels and ethanol, providing a storage capacity of 30,000 m³. The berth facilities for tanker ships at the Port of Maceió have a depth of 12 meters.
With berth occupancy rates lower than those of other port terminals in the Northeast region, TAMAC presents a compelling opportunity for new ventures, mitigating the risk of vessel´s demurrage costs.
Origem is currently modernizing the terminal’s facilities, including the redesign of road platforms and the installation of skids equipped with pre-set flow meters and a robust automation system for product loading and unloading. Furthermore, new tanks for biofuels are under construction, along with all the necessary infrastructure required for fuel distribution.
The port terminal also offers opportunities for the development of import and export logistics, with potential alternatives for handling consignment volumes compatible with market demands.
